Take a startup deep dive an join us for lunch! The Venture Briefing event series is designed to help students, scientists and graduates with an intent to pursue entrepreneurship take their first steps towards building a successful company.

The event features a keynote speech from successful entrepreneurs Jonas Wüst and Waldemar Hoffmann, Co-Founders of Tethys Robotics and Liver4Life.

***Note - as this is an event over lunchtime, we will offer food and drinks for all registered participants (free of charge)***

Since co-founding the project in 2018, Jonas Wüst has been at the forefront of its growth, guiding the team from a research-based project to a fully-fledged entrepreneurial endeavor. Jonas holds a MSc in Mech. Eng at ETH Zurich and obtained a CAS ETH Entrepreneurial Leadership Technology Ventures.

Waldemar holds a MSc in Bioengineering and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He has experience in the regulated field (>9y experience in medical device R&D, incl. 1.5y in over-the-counter drugs and cosmetics) holding positions spanning the entire value chain (R&D, manufacturing and scale-up, product life cycle, key expert management, certification, etc.). Together with my strong network in the medical device’s environment, Waldemar can connect, align and guide people from different backgrounds to collaborate and work towards a common goal.

Waldemar and Jonas will talk about their startups and share details about the journey of building a successful deep tech company. They will also help answer some of your questions during the Q&A session:
  • How to become an entrepreneur?
  • How to validate my idea?
  • How to fund my idea?
  • How to find help to bring my idea to life?

You will also be introduced to different support programs available to new entrepreneurs:
  • Venture Kick (up to CHF 150,000 pre-seed capital for business development)
  • InnoBooster (up to CHF 150,000 grant to accelerate market entry)
  • First Ventures (up to CHF 150,000 financial support for projects cooperating with a University of Applied Science)
